Training Towers and Burn Room Liners :
Fire service has training towers to instruct firefighters on how to perform basic tactical and task level functions at structural fires. These training towers were also used to teach firefighters how to repel and how to position apparatus for its optimal efficiency. The training towers are commonly fire resistant materials and are generally 7 to 8 stories high. The training towers generally have burned rooms attached to or near the Tower. This allows the firefighters to conduct fires in these buildings for training. The burned rooms are lined with products which are designed to absorb a great amount of heat energy over time without degrading.
