Station Wear, Uniforms and Apparel :
Fire service NFPA standards require that firefighters where Station uniforms which are fire resistant. Virtually every fire service in America has some type of uniform, which are most commonly blue in appearance. Firefighters normally are issued a set of dress uniforms for formal occasions, which are generally double-breasted and include a standard badge, collar brass and other rank identifiers as needed. Most fire uniforms have badges out of some type which identifies the company and/or department to which the member belong. Many fire departments have moved towards polo shirts and T-shirts as station wear.
